A SINGER-songwriter from Alcester is celebrating the release of her debut single.
Amber Mansell's debut 'Rain' was released online on September 11 and marks the beginning of her music career.
The 22-year-old turned to song writing during lockdown as a way of looking after her mental health and recorded the song at home in February this year.
The song has gained exposure after being placed on BBC Introducing Coventry and Warwickshire last month and received rave reviews.
Amber said: "It's just really great that people like the song. It's my way of dealing with stuff.
"The songs that are the most honest are the ones that people like the most."
Although a singer, Amber cites rappers such as Nicki Minaj, Dave and Stormzy as her major influences on her songwriting.
She is now building up a fanbase on social media and has hopes to start gigging in the local area soon.
