POLICE are hunting a drug dealer with links to Redditch after he escaped HMP Sudbury last week.
Robert Shannon Smith, 28, walked out of the open prison in Derbyshire on Friday, November 5 – becoming the fourth dangerous prisoner to escape the prison in the last month.
He was jailed in June 2016 for supplying cannabis, cocaine and possessing an offensive weapon.
Smith is described as white, 6ft 1ins tall and with blue eyes, dark brown hair and full beard.
He also has links to Birmingham and the West Midlands, including Solihull and he previously lived in Nottinghamshire.
Smith is the fourth convict to go on the run after escaping HMP Sudbury in less than a month.
Sam Hawkins, 34, and Darren McKay, 37, jumped the fence at the Derbyshire prison on October 11.
Just two days later on October 13, arsonist and thug Adam Curtling, 35, also escaped from the prison.
