TWO new homes could be built on disused land on Birmingham Road if a plan is given the thumbs up.
A plan has been submitted to Redditch Borough Council to build two homes on a tapered shape parcel of land next to 246 Birmingham Road.
The applicant wants to build two three-bedroom houses, which are described as “family houses which are designed to fit in with the area”, according to the scheme’s planning statement.
It adds that the development will help to develop a site which is overgrown with “anti-social hiding places” close to a subway which leads underneath Alvechurch Highway.
The statement adds: “The proposed buildings will occupy a site that was formerly housing prior to the development of the main road to the rear of the site, and are therefore bringing a brown field site back into use.”
The application is available to view on the Redditch planning portal under the reference 22/00109/FUL.
