A REDDITCH pub has reopened its doors following major refurbishment.
Woodland Cottage officially reopens this weekend after closing in January after changing hands to Craft Union.
Couple Julie Hossack and Ian May are the new managers of the pub on Mount Pleasant and were attracted by its "huge potential".
They are no strangers to the trade having run pubs in Gloucester before deciding to make a new home in Redditch.
Woodland Cottage has a refurbished pool room, new toilets, brand new decor and furniture and has garnered praise from locals during its soft launch.
Julie said: "It's the Wooders but in the 21st century. It's been great, people have been nice and friendly. I'm really looking forward to it, we've had a positive reaction."
To mark the official reopening, the pub will host an 80s and 90s disco on Friday February 4, followed by music and magic performances through the weekend.
