A REDDITCH pub has been handed a top hygiene rating.
The Rising Sun, a Wetherspoons pub on Alcester Street, received a five-out-of-five rating from the Food Standards Agency.
It was assessed by inspectors on March 10.
Food Standards Agency officers assess businesses for their hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety.
The Rising Sun was rated as good for each category.
It means that of Redditch's 23 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 21 have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
