TWO brothers from Redditch have become fathers for the first time within hours of each other.
George Robinson and his brother Joe have welcomed their new bundles of joy into the world within two hours of each at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
George and his partner Hayley gave birth to Oliver Robinson who weighed 8lbs 3 on April 18 his due date.
Whilst Joe and his partner Ellie gave birth to Reginald Robinson, five days early, who weighed 7lb 3.
Both babies were born in the same delivery suite and shared the same midwife, Ami.
Grandmother Sarah Robinson said, “It’s all been a bit of a whirlwind”.
“The boys are beautiful, and they both look like their dads – they are like mini-me’s,
“It was a worrying time though as Hayley went into labour earlier than expected but luckily everything turned out great.
“There has been an overwhelming response from the Redditch community giving their best wishes, and the lads would like to say thank you.
“There have been so many messages and lovely comments
The family, who own Robinson Tree Surgery in Oakenshaw are looking forward to another new arrival in September when older brother Tom and his wife are also expecting their first child.
Sarah added: “It’s definitely going to be an expensive Christmas this year!”
