A REDDITCH street is expected to re-open soon after closure to repair a cable fault.
Engineers from Western Power Distribution have been onsite in Foregate Street, Astwood Bank, Redditch, working to locate and repair a fault with an underground cable.
The road outside the Oddfellows Arms pub has been closed due to the escavation work but power company bosses have said the fault has now been repaired and the road is expected to be re-opened on Wednesday July 12.
A spokesperson for Western Power Distribution said: "Engineers from Western Power Distribution have been working in the area to repair an underground cable fault which was reported at the weekend.
"Unfortunately, our work to locate and repair the fault, which involves digging in the carriageway, has been delayed by the need to gain access to a vacant property.
"The repair is now complete and our contractors will be on site today and tomorrow to reinstate the road surface.
"The road closure will be removed by lunchtime tomorrow (Wednesday) if all goes to plan."
