Redditch man Carl Harris is celebrating after being selected as the winner of McCarthy Stone’s recent photography competition.
The competition was launched by the developers behind the Milward Place Retirement Living development in Redditch and called for local residents to share photographs of their favourite scenery, wildlife, and landscapes from all corners of the town.
Judged by representatives from McCarthy Stone and the Redditch Advertiser, they chose Carl’s photograph of the stunning Arrow Valley Lake sunrise as the winning entry.
Carl, who was awarded the £250 prize, said: “I enjoy taking photographs of all the wonderful views in Redditch, whether that be of wildlife, buildings, or sunsets, but for me there is nothing quite like a picturesque sunrise. I was really pleased with the photo, and I’m delighted to be able to share it with others. I’d like to thank McCarthy Stone for running the competition and the judges for selecting me as winner.”
David Meacham, divisional sales director at McCarthy Stone, said: “All of the entries we received were exceptional, and I’d like to offer our congratulations to Carl. There are so many stunning views in and around Redditch and we were amazed with the standard of the photographs we received.”
