DISRUPTION from proposed strike action continues to affect train services today but they are expected to be fully back on track by Wednesday.
Industrial action originally proposed for Saturday November 5, Monday November 7 and Wednesday November 9 was called off on Friday but rail bosses have said the lateness of the RMT’s announcement has meant normal timetables will not resume until Wednesday November 9.
West Midlands Railway said online: “It will not be possible to reinstate the normal West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway timetable, and a reduced service will be in operation on Monday November 7 - however where it is possible, additional services are operating.
“We are expecting to run our normal service from Wednesday November 9 onwards.”
Rail bosses said a limited timetable is in place today (Monday November 7) and services will also start up later on Tuesday November 8. For full details click here.
One train an hour is operating in both directions on the Birmingham Snow Hill to Kidderminster line, from 6am to 11pm.
But a normal timetable is in place between Stourbridge Town and Stourbridge Junction.
