A REDDITCH takeaway and a café have been given new food hygiene ratings.
Merchants Fish Bar, a takeaway at 537 Evesham Road, Redditch was given a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 30, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.
It means that of Redditch's 72 takeaways with ratings, 32 have ratings of five and three have zero ratings.
Meanwhile, Cornish Cafe, a cafe at 30 - 31 Kingfisher Walk, Redditch was given a four-out-of-five score after an assessment on October 19.
Food safety officers found at the time of inspection a good standard of cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety.
The standard of their hygienic food handling was found to be ‘generally satisfactory’.
It means that of Redditch's 73 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 46 have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
