A STUDLEY care home is opening its doors offering a warm space for the elderly to escape the cold this winter.
Studley Rose is opening its doors to the community to offer a warm space and lunch every Wednesday throughout January and February.
From 11am to 3pm, the homes are welcoming those seeking warmth, a hot drink and something to eat during the colder months.
Sharen Guise, Director of Operations for Macc Care, which owns Studley Rose, said: “For some, winter can be a cold and lonely period. We’d hate to see anyone suffer, so we’re urging anyone who might be alone and looking for a safe space to come and socialise and enjoy some lunch at one of our homes.
“Some elderly can go days without seeing anybody else, so welcoming them into a warm space gives them a chance to meet and chat with others.”
