RESIDENTS are being encouraged to attend a second face-to-face meeting about plans to relocate Redditch Library.
The session follows a well-attended public meeting on January 24 where residents were given the opportunity to ask questions about the library relocation and to have their feedback noted as part of the consultation process.
Representatives from Redditch Borough Council and Worcestershire County Council were on hand to answer any questions.
The next meeting which will take place at Redditch Library on Thursday, February 9 from 10am to 11am is set to provide another opportunity for residents to have their say.
Councillor Marcus Hart, cabinet member for communities at Worcestershire County Council said: “As I reiterated at the first meeting, we are absolutely committed to providing a comprehensive and efficient library service to residents and to ensuring that archive and local history material remains accessible for local people.

“The purpose of this consultation, and what we want to hear residents’ views on, is what library services are most important, and why the proposed change in location of the library matters to them.”
Questions that came from the first meeting included whether the proposed changes will be made on the consultation or whether the decision has already been made.
