A WOMAN and three children have been taken to hospital after a car overturned on the Coventry Highway in Redditch.
The incident happened just after 8.15am on Thursday, February 9 and involved a Citroen C3.
The car overturned, crossing the central reservation, and hit a lamp post bringing it down.
The occupants were already out of the car when paramedics arrived and were treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to hospital.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of an RTC on Coventry Highway in Lodge Park, Redditch at 8.16am.
“Two ambulances and a paramedic officer were sent to the scene where, on arrival, they discovered one car had been involved in a collision.
“There were four patients who were already out of the car when crews arrived: a woman and three children.
“They were all treated by ambulance staff for injuries not thought to be serious before being taken to Worcester Royal Hospital for further treatment.”
West Mercia Police closed the carriageway in both directions while emergency services responded to the incident and reopened the road at 11.15am.
