A RENOWNED West End star has sent his well wishes to performers of the upcoming Kinky Boots production in Redditch.
Matt Henry MBE, who was also a finalist on the hit TV show The Voice, recorded a ‘break a leg’ message for one of Studley Operatic Society’s leading men, Paul Mitchell, in honour of his birthday.
Matt won the 2016 Olivier Award as the West End’s original Lola – a leading character in Kinky Boots.
The video begins with a close-up of Matt wearing his own pair of Kinky Boots, which were a keepsake from his time performing in the show.
Paul, who is playing Charlie Price in the Redditch production, said: “I was over the moon when I opened the video link on my birthday.
"It’s one of the best presents I’ve ever received.”
Studley Operatic Society will be performing Kinky Boots from April 18 to April 22 at Redditch Palace Theatre.
Tickets can be booked via the society’s ticket hotline: 07522 411 957, by email studleyoperatic@gmail.com or via instant message on their social media channels.
Alternatively, tickets can also be bought directly via the Palace Theatre website Kinky Boots (redditchpalacetheatre.co.uk) or by calling 01527 65203.
