A MAN, aged 51, has admitted trying to get his hands on two grenades.
Alex Piatt-Green pleaded guilty to attempting to possess an explosive substance on or before January 26.
The charge stated he tried to get two fragmentation grenades “in circumstances that give rise to a reasonable suspicion that he would not have them in his possession for a lawful object”.
The defendant, of Fulbrook Close, Redditch, Worcestershire, entered his plea at the Old Bailey on Friday.
Mr Justice Jeremy Baker adjourned sentencing until June 9 at the Old Bailey.
The defendant was remanded into custody.
