A NEW study has revealed that Redditch has one of the shortest waiting lists for driving theory tests in the UK.
The research carried out by Bill Plant Driving School has confirmed Redditch along with 20 other locations has only a one-week waiting list for learners to take their theory test.
Other locations include Exeter, Chesterfield, Oxford, Plymouth, Sheffield, Weymouth, Cardiff, and Swansea.
At the other end of the scale, Cromer has been named as the area in the UK with the longest wait time for a driving theory test with learners expected to wait an average of 18 weeks for a slot.
On average it takes 52 hours of driving lessons to qualify however in recent years waiting times for tests have become longer.
In 2022, it was reported the average driving test wait time in the UK was around d 13 weeks but for some areas, it was even longer.
