THE renowned Red Arrows took to the skies over the weekend, delighting Worcestershire and Warwickshire residents who managed to catch a glimpse of the iconic jets.
The Midlands Air Festival returned for a fifth year from June 2 to June 4 at Ragley Hall in Alcester.
The aviation event consisted of air displays, a nightfire display, hot air balloon launches, model aircrafts and a host of trade stands and entertainment.
The Red Arrows along with other jets were spotted across Worcestershire and parts of Warwickshire as the public marvelled at the stunning displays.
According to military-airshows.co.uk, the Red Arrows flew over Wolverley, Catshill, Barnt Green, Alvechurch, Beoley, Redditch and Studley.
Several jets took part in the festival including performances from the RAF Falcons, AeroSuperBatics, Wingwalkers, Gyro Air Displays, Team Raven, Mono Display team, Otto the Helicopter, and the Gazelle Squadron Display Team.
Aviation enthusiasts were also delighted to see the Swedish Draken jet fighter and the de-Havilland Vampire, a uniquely shaped, swept wing double delta aircraft that has been compared to a UFO, with its sleek shape.
On Friday, June 2 the Red Arrows performed at 5.30pm on Saturday the display was at 12pm and on Sunday the Red Arrows flew past Ragley Hall just after 7.25pm.
