NEW walking cricket sessions are set to launch next week in Redditch.
There will be 12 weeks of free sessions, including all equipment and coaching provided by Worcestershire Cricket, for anyone who wants to come along and give it a try.
The sessions will be held every Monday from 6pm to 7pm, starting on Monday, June 19, at Terry Memorial Fields (former Bridely Moor High School Field).
Councillor Joanne Beecham, portfolio holder for Leisure Services, said: "I am thrilled to support the launch of these new Walking Cricket sessions. Our walking sports programs are always very well received, and I have no doubt that this one will be too.
“This program exemplifies our commitment to promoting active aging and providing inclusive recreational activities for all our residents. Walking Cricket not only offers a unique opportunity to enjoy the sport but also fosters social connections and enhances overall well-being."
