REDDITCH Dog Walking has raised more than £4,000 thanks to a fun-filled charity event.
Earlier this month, the group held a fun day and dog show to raise funds for lost dogs in the local area.
The funds raised will go towards equipment that the Local Lost Dog group will be purchasing for owners who have lost their pets such as dog traps and thermal vision goggles.
The event included tombolas, a dog show, pony rides, a hay bale run and various stalls.
Hannah Winch from Redditch Dog Walking said: “After supporting a few owners over the last couple of years whose pets have got scared and bolted off and seeing first-hand the upset and worry this causes, all we could do then was offer advice and a pair of extra eyes.
“It will be amazing to be able to give owners who are desperate a better chance of getting their pets home.
“We are absolutely blown away by the support from everyone - more people turned up to support us than I could have imagined.
“Thank you so much to all our stall holders, and sponsors - Furberyoung Development, Locke & Eastwood, Buildland and Dormer Plant Hire for donating the generators and sponsorship.”
The event raised £2,100 which was match funded by The Beefeater Redditch.
