MORE than 9,000 people danced the night away at Ragley Hall over the weekend as Classic Ibiza kicked off its summer tour.
On Saturday, July 1, a 32-piece Urban Soul Orchestra (USO) performed a host of Balearic-infused house music tracks along with several DJs providing hits from the island.
The concert started at 5.30pm with a new Chill-Out DJ set then former Pacha Ibiza residents DJ Jose Luis took control of the decks for his Latin House set then the Orchestra and DJ Goldirocks took centre stage for the Sundowner set.
The orchestra took a break during Goldierocks’ Deep House DJ set but were then reunited on stage for the Dance set accompanied by a laser show.
When the show came to a close at 11pm, USO had performed 15 completely new orchestrations in a set of over 40 house classics.
Classic Ibiza’s Lisa Ward said: “We are blessed with such a loyal following at Ragley Hall, so our challenge is to bring something that’s fresh every year.
“Going by the reaction of our amazing Warwickshire audience, we certainly achieved that.
“Our musicians and crew were incredible, but the biggest shout-out goes to everyone that came - they are the ones that bring the unique Classic Ibiza vibe and make the show so special. See you next year!”
The show will return to the venue on Saturday, July 6, 2024, with concertgoers able to register for tickets here before they go on general release in the autumn.
