A CARE home employer has been nominated for a Worcestershire Health and Social Care Award.

Bowood Court and Mews Care Home in Redditch, which is managed by Adept Care Homes has received a nomination for The Health Care Employer Award.

Janet Thompson, whose mother is being cared for at Bowood Court said the team ‘has grown with the challenges of Covid’ and ‘shown good team leadership’.

She said: “I have felt content and satisfied that my mother who has been in Bowood for four and half years has received the excellent care that she deserves.

“Her deteriorating health and mental state have been taken into consideration and they have adapted their care to her needs as necessary and still maintained the degree of respect that she deserves.

“I feel as though any worries or concerns that either myself or the rest of the family have been resolved efficiently and compassionately so that I feel part of the team too especially when I live such a long way from Redditch.”

Ms Thompson said even though the manager of the home has changed over the last four and half years she has ‘seen levels of training continue to make a seamless change in the structure’.

Cindy Hawkins, home manager of Bowood Court and Mews Care Home: “We are so honoured to have been nominated for The Health Care Employer Award.

“Our team are always striving to provide high-quality, person-centred care to all our residents, and always ensure Bowood Court & Mews is ‘a superb place to live or work.”
