A MAJOR drugs ring responsible for dealing more than £3 million worth of cocaine has been dismantled and its members jailed.
Officers from the West Midlands Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU) acted on information and caught them trading Class A drugs.
Police shut down the drug operation which operated mainly in Birmingham between January and March 2022, but supplied at least 100 kilogrammes of cocaine.
They also seized more than £1.7 million of cash which was linked to the network.
Officers observed Trevor Lichfield, of Willets Road, Northfield, conduct an exchange with Perry Emery, of Littlemead Road, Major's Green, in Wythall in February last year.
Police stopped Emery a short time later and seized cocaine.
The following month, officers discreetly monitored Fallon Pardoe, of Wensley Road, Yardley, who met Christopher Organ, of Simcox Gardens, Harborne, to carry out another exchange.
They then swooped on Organ's home and recovered more cocaine.
They carried out investigations into contact between members of the gang and discovered Lichfield arranged the meeting between Pardoe and Organ.
Phone records showed Lichfield, Pardoe and Organ were heavily involved in trading large amounts of drugs.
They were convicted of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs following a trial and sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court on Thursday, August 24.
Pardoe, aged 39, was jailed for 10 years and six months, Lichfield, aged 35, was jailed for nine years and nine months, Organ, aged 49, was jailed for four years and eight months, and Emery, aged 35, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply and was jailed for four years.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Drugs ruin lives and fuel further crime. We remain committed to shutting down drug networks across the region.
"We've launched Operation Target to take a defiant stand against serious and organised crime offences – from drug dealing and burglary, to cyber-crime and fraud - as part of our ongoing work to catch offenders and keep you safe".
