A POPULAR pub on Studley Road in Redditch is set to reopen its doors with a new name following a £217,000 refurb.
The Greenlands pub, formerly known as the Mayfly, is ready to welcome back its patrons with a fresh new look on Friday, September 15
The pub will be led by Rachel Whitehead, an experienced operator in the hospitality industry.
Inside, the pub has undergone an extensive redecoration. The renovations include a new bar, flooring, and furniture throughout.
The establishment will also boast a brand-new games room, featuring pool and darts areas.
Outside, visitors can enjoy a transformed garden, complete with a newly constructed decking area.
To celebrate its grand reopening, the Greenlands has planned an exciting weekend for its customers. The festivities will include a prosecco reception and a lineup of entertainment, including live music, karaoke, a DJ, and even a bouncy castle.
Customers can look forward to a variety of drinks offers, such as Wine Wednesday where they can enjoy £2 off a bottle, as well as Fizz Friday, offering a bottle of fizz for only £10.
Additionally, the pub will have regular deals on cocktails, bottles, and shots throughout the week.
Sports enthusiasts will also find their fix at the Greenlands, as the pub will offer a full sports package including Sky Sports, BT Sports, and Horse Racing.
Rachel's first goal is to raise funds to install a lifesaving defibrillator at the Greenlands, highlighting her commitment to supporting local causes.
Customers can expect regular charity events and a variety of entertainment options, such as quiz nights and karaoke.
Rachel Whitehead, Operator of the Greenlands is excited about the reopening and said: “The pub looks fantastic, and I can’t believe the transformation. I’m really excited to get behind the bar, welcome back all the customers and support the local community. I will be starting off by collecting food for a local food bank and donations to get a defibrillator installed.
“Pubs are the hub of their community, and I can’t wait to start this new adventure.”
