Police have issued a warning after a suspicious man was seen hanging around and watching a play area in Redditch.
The man is alleged to have followed a young mother and her 4-year-old daughter at the Oak Tree Avenue Play Area today (October 4) at around 1pm.
He has been described as a clean-shaven white male in his late 40s to early 50s, slim to medium build and dressed in black tracksuit bottoms with a black hood up.
He was last seen heading in the direction of Salters Lane.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “This is for local awareness in the Batchley/Brockhill area to make residents vigilant and to see if anyone has more information.
“If you see anyone matching this description that comes into the vicinity of the local parks, particularly where there are young children, then please let your local police know on 101.
“If you see this male approach or go close to mothers with/or children while they are around the park, then please ring 999 due to the possibility of serious risk.
“Local police are very keen to find out who this person is and any credible information about this man would be most welcome.”
