A beloved pub at the heart of Redditch has been busy uniting the community after a recent revamp.
The staff at Woodland Cottage are on a mission to support residents by hosting a range of fundraising events and community quiz nights.
From the monthly ‘Glastonbeoley presents’ event with live music to raise money for local charities to karaoke on a Thursday, musicians on a Saturday and an acoustic open mic on a fortnightly basis, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Pub operator, Annie Rafiqi, said: “Our goal is to help make Woodland Cottage a true community venue.
“Since taking over the pub, myself and the rest of the team have put all our efforts into refreshing the space and being the local, friendly venue that Redditch needs.”
The pub has recently undergone a revamp including an update and paint to the tables and chairs in the beer garden.
Visitors can also enjoy a beautiful new mural painted on the garden fence by a local artist whilst inside the pub has been freshly painted to create a brighter space.
The pub has even been awarded the highly acclaimed 5* Cask Marque for its high-quality beer, including a range of larger, IPAs and Cask Ales, and its meticulous cellar care.
Ms Rafiqi added: “We have a lot of ideas in the pipeline that we’re excited to bring to fruition and we can’t wait to see the community come together in our wonderful pub.”
The Woodland Cottage is planning a monthly Drink and Draw session with Redditch town artists as well as a lot more fundraising initiatives in the future.
