People are being urged to check their lottery tickets after the winner of the £500,000 jackpot did not come forward to claim their prize.

The life-changing amount of cash from the Thunderball draw was won on Saturday, December 8, by a ticket bought in Redditch.

The winning numbers were: 2, 15, 31, 35, 37 and the Thunderball was 6.

The National Lottery is now searching for the lucky resident who has until June 5, 2024, to collect their money.

Senior Winners' Advisor at The National Lottery, Andy Carter, said: "If you bought a Thunderball ticket in Redditch for the draw on December 8, it's time to look everywhere. In the pockets of clothes you might have been wearing at the time, bags, in the car, wallets and purses and in that sideboard or drawer where we all tend to put things and check the tickets.

"Do you live or work in this area, do you have family and friends there who you were visiting, were you just passing through or were you hitting the town for your work Christmas party?

"We're desperate to find this mystery ticket holder and pay out their life-changing prize. Imagine the possibilities for them. We have champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win."

Anyone not in possession of their ticket, for whatever reason, but who believes they have a genuine claim can still make a claim in writing to Camelot, but it must be within 30 days of the draw.

Players can buy and check their tickets in-store and online by downloading The National Lottery app or at www.national-lottery.co.uk

If no one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, the prize money and all the interest it has generated will go towards helping National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.
