POLICE have released a photo of a man they want to speak to following a "serious assault" in the town centre.
Redditch Police believes the person in the image may have information about the attack, which happened on Alcester Street on December 2.
Police are hoping the image will jog the memory of someone who witnessed the assault.
A post on Facebook by Redditch Police said: "Can you help us with our investigation into a serious assault that took place before Christmas in the town centre?
"Enquiries are ongoing into the attack that took place on Alcester Street in Redditch at around 4.30am on December 2, between the Palace Theatre and the former Hughes electricals store.
"Officers would like to speak to the man pictured here who we believe may have information about the incident".
PC Matthew Elliot of Redditch Police said: “We appreciate the image is not ideal quality but it may help to jog someone’s memory who may have witnessed the incident or was around town at this time and date.
“Anyone with information about this incident should email me at matthew.elliot1@westmercia.police.uk , thank you.”
