Grassroots sports clubs in Redditch and the Villages are set to receive thousands of pounds in new funding from the government.
Kingfisher Youth FC and Feckenham Football Club are amongst more than 1,100 projects across the country that are receiving investment towards facilities including changing rooms, pavilions, 3G football turf, goalposts and floodlights.
Kingfisher Youth FC is set to receive £1,740 whilst Feckenham Football Club will benefit from £4,499 in investment from the government's multi-sport grassroots fund.
This is in an effort to improve access to sport and physical activity for the local community especially those in more deprived and inactive local authorities.
Welcoming the latest news, the MP for Redditch and the Villages, Rachel Maclean, said: "There is a clear link between feeling your best both mentally and physically and exercising regularly.
"This Conservative government is sticking to its plan to make sure everyone can access the facilities they need to live and active and healthy lifestyle ensuring a better future for all."
