A National Trust site in Alcester is set to reopen for the start of the 2024 season next month with an exciting programme of activities.
From Saturday, February 10, guests at Coughton Court will be able to immerse themselves in the property's 600-year history from visiting the new in-house exhibition to taking wintery walks through the grounds.
Visitors will also be able to explore the £3.3 million Through the Roof conservation project, which is aimed at preserving, repairing and improving the building's façade, and admire the views of the Alcester countryside in the springtime by venturing up the scaffolding to see the roof work for themselves.
General manager at the National Trust for North Warwickshire, Gurminder Kenth, said: "At Coughton Court, we want all visitors to feel welcome and February is the perfect time to get outdoors together with friends and family.
"From spotting birds on the riverside walk to discovering ancient woodland, playing garden games and spending quality time together, there is lots to see and do."
There will also be a seasonal trail for all ages at Easter to get active and connect with nature including the opportunity for visitors to grab a 'blind date with a book' and relax under the trees.
Following the successful tag-a-tile event in December 2023, Coughton Court is giving visitors another opportunity to become part of the property's history by leaving a personal message on a roof tile from February 10 to February 11 that will be reinstated as part of the roof works.
