A grassroots football club in Redditch is celebrating after receiving hundreds of pounds in funding that will make a "massive difference" to the team.
Kingfisher Youth FC is one of more than 1,100 sports teams across the country to secure money from the government's multi-sport grassroots fund.
The investment, which will see Kingfisher FC get £1,740 in funding, aims to help clubs facilities improve and develop facilities including changing rooms, pavilions, 3G football turf, goalposts and floodlights.
Chairman of Kingfisher FC, Liam Smith, said "Kingfisher FC are the only female only club in Worcestershire. We pride ourselves on giving all girls an opportunity to participate in sport.
"The money from the government will make a massive difference to our club and the children that participate in football for us each week.
"Currently housing 8 teams within our club, with a big emphasis on ‘football family’ we are always on the lookout for more players and volunteers."
