A MAN has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after falling from a town centre apartment block.
Emergency services were rushed to Threadneedle House, near Redditch Town Hall, this afternoon (Thursday, March 7).
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent out an air ambulance and ambulance to the scene.
A spokesperson said: “A man has suffered serious injuries after being found outside Redditch Town Hall.
“An ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham, with a doctor and critical care paramedic on board, were sent to the scene.
“The man received advanced trauma care at the scene before being taken on blue lights to hospital with the air ambulance crew travelling with the ambulance".
A spokesperson from West Mercia Police said this afternoon: “We are currently dealing with an incident where a man has fallen from the roof of Threadneedle House on Alcester Street in Redditch.
"Members of the public are asked to avoid this area at the moment.
“Thank you for patience”.
The town hall has been closed while officers deal with the incident.
