A PENSIONER feels "insulted" by the Chancellor's budget - but "is not surprised" 'pensioners have been left out'.
Kevin Beresford, 72, has been paying into his pension pot since he retired from his job in printing in 2017 aged 65.
He said he feels "let down" after Jeremy Hunt failed to mention any extra support for pensioners in the UK.
Kevin, from Redditch, said: "We are the worst paid pensioners in Europe.
"I pay national insurance and I pay my dues and I don't see a pension as a charity or a given right in British society.
"I've been working since the 60s and I can't see how they are helping the old age pensioners and cuts in national insurance mean nothing to me.
"I don't want to rely on food banks as I find it humiliating and I want more help for the old age pensioners."
Kevin added: "I want to see an increase in our pensions."
Despite announcing a cut for national insurance, the continued freeze on alcohol tax and the abolishment of the non-dom tax regime, there was no announcement regarding pensions.
Kevin said: "I'm annoyed but I'm not surprised. I feel like we're being ignored but it's the way they think of us now - like we don't exist.
"There are pensioners out there that are struggling to put food on the table and we're talking about life and death really as people can't even afford to eat."
