A talented 11-year-old girl from Studley is set to make her West End debut in a brand-new show.
Imogen Turner, who has loved performing since she was three years old and trains with Stagebox UK, has landed her big break by securing the role of Alice Creel in Stranger Things: The First Shadow.
Alice is an original stage role created for the show which is a prequel to the 80's-inspired Netflix series and is set in 1959.
Talking about the role, Imogen said: "I have really enjoyed working with the creatives to help shape the character. I feel Alice is important to the development of Henry's character, it helps to give more of an understanding of what motivates his actions in the TV series.
"I also love being able to share the stage with such talented actors and creatives as well as having the opportunity to work with Ross and Matt Duffer, Kate Trefry, Stephen Daldry and Justin Martin. I'm learning so much, I just love it."
This is the youngster's professional stage debut with Imogen previously becoming the face and voice of the central character in Alton Towers' ride The Curse at Alton Manor.
The West End show has already had rave reviews on social media with cast members from the TV series also coming to watch it including David Harbour, Matthew Modine, Jamie Campbell Bower, Sadie Sink and Cara Buono.
Imogen's parents, Jonny and Becky, said: "We can't really put into words how immensely proud of her we are as a family. We've always said she was born to be on the stage.
"She has always been an incredibly driven individual, she works and trains hard and knows that this industry requires sacrifice, resilience and determination.
"Her passion for performing shines through on stage and it is an utter joy to watch her. We're most proud of seeing how happy she is living her dream."
A spokesperson for Stagebox Management added: "Imogen has been a Stagebox Management client and Stagebox member since 2021. We are very proud of Imogen for originating the role of Alice Creel marking her West End debut.
"Imogen's talent, hard work and dedication are a testament to her and we are thrilled to continue facilitating her exceptional success."
