Redditch Borough Council has completed its 100th kitchen renovation under their Internal Refurbishment Investment Programme.
The progress comes as part of the council's five-year plan to provide high-quality housing for residents.
The refurbishment is executed by the council's Repairs and Maintenance Team.
Cllr Craig Warhurst, portfolio holder for Housing, said: "It was a pleasure to meet Ms Giles and see what a difference this work has made.
"This is a shining example of the hard work and dedication of the teams working on the ground, without whom none of this would happen.
"This is the first milestone of many for this investment programme, but it shows the dedication of this administration to improving the lives of residents living in Redditch."
The renovation is the first phase of the council’s programme which has an annual spend of up to £2 million per year.
The scheme is meant to revitalise, modernise, and improve their housing stock for the benefit of the council tenants.
Ms Giles, who resides in the recently upgraded property, said: "I can’t believe the transformation.
"I am very happy, and I can’t wait to start decorating this weekend."
Cllr Matt Dormer, leader of the council, said: "I am very proud that we can celebrate this milestone which reflects how we are taking strides to improve our housing stock and the lives of our residents, through strategic investments and forward-thinking initiatives.
"There is still a long way to go, but we are delivering on the promises made, to provide safe, comfortable, and modern homes for our residents."
