A family-ran supply chain solution provider has been shortlisted for two categories at a prestigious awards.
Redditch-based Oakland International has been nominated for a pair of accolades at the Chamber Business Awards 2024.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, June 13 at the Worcester Arena.
The company is up for the Excellence in Sustainability and Commitment to the Community Awards, both of which acknowledge the achievements of community businesses across two counties.
The company received its shortlisting for efforts towards reducing carbon, improving resource efficiency and minimising waste and for the delivery of schemes, initiatives and policies which positively impact communities.
Oakland International's Luke Attwell said: "We are absolutely delighted to be selected as a finalist in not one, but two categories of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Awards."
He added: "From a community perspective we continue to grow partnerships through our children’s charity Oakland Foundation as well as Molly Olly’s Wishes and HOPE4, and environmentally we remain focused on becoming the first Net Zero business in our industry, having earnt B Corp accreditation, and upholding our bold Science Based Target (SBT) pledge."
The awards are sponsored by Herefordshire Council and Worcestershire County Council, and it is anticipated to welcome more than 700 people from across the region.
