Plans to redevelop a manufacturing complex in Redditch have been given the thumbs up.
Greenlight Urban, a joint venture between Coltham and Delancey client funds, has obtained planning permission for its sustainability-led Redditch industrial and logistics scheme.
The plans for Greenlight Redditch, which has a pre-let to retain existing occupier Honeywell, will see the partial demolition of the existing buildings on site and the construction of four new units.
Director of development at Delancey, Mark Enderby, said: "We are thrilled to secure Honeywell, a firm dedicated to driving technological transformation for a sustainable future, to Greenlight Redditch.
"We look forward to working with Honeywell and we are already in talks with other companies on the scheme which are looking for highly sustainable mid-box industrial accommodation in the area."
The new units will have high-quality sustainability credentials, total 126,715 sq ft and target a BREEAM Outstanding rating and EPC A+ for the build base.
The new units have also been designed to improve energy performance and reduce environmental impact by using technologies including EV charging infrastructure and air source heat pumps to cut carbon emissions and reduce costs.
Simon Pursey, who is a partner at Coltham, added: "Greenlight is leading the way in developing outstanding mid-box assets with first-class ESG credentials and we're delighted that Honeywell has recognised this and is to be part of Greenlight Redditch.
"We look forward to developing the wider Redditch site and welcoming more exciting businesses."
