A dog grooming business has won a top award just months after moving into a newly refurbished building near Alcester.
Woofs of Wixford, which is a dog grooming and pampering salon, was awarded Pet Retailer of the Year 2024 by the Business Awards UK for its customer service and commitment to animal welfare.
The business has been operating from the Ragley Estate since September 2023 after the Ragley Estate maintenance team fully refurbished the old maintenance workshop.
The move to Arrow Court has allowed the business to expand and invest in upgraded facilities to help make the team's vision for the salon a reality.
Salon owner Catherine Smith, from Wixford, said: "Our move to the Ragley Estate has been received by our customers very well and I am truly grateful to have been given the opportunity to take a lease and have a good working relationship with Ragley."
The team said the refurbishment has resulted in a bright and airy salon which is focused on the welfare and needs of the dogs.
An effort has also been made to ensure the salon is as tranquil as possible.
The estate property manager from Ragley, who has been overseeing the works to the property, Will Debenham, said: "It's been fantastic to breathe new life into this old building and working with Catherine to ensure it was just right for her particular business.
"Our estate maintenance team have been hard at work refurbishing both inside and out providing power and water and getting it ready for Catherine and the team to make it bespoke to their business."
The salon operates from Monday to Friday by appointment only with the staff having around two to three dogs at most in the salon at any one time.
