A MAN has died in Redditch today, police have confirmed.
The air ambulance landed and medics fought to save the 24-year-old man this morning (Friday April 12), but sadly nothing could be done and he was confirmed dead at the scene on Batchley Road.
Police have said the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to Batchley Road at 11.56am, two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended the scene.
"On arrival we discovered a man who was in a critical condition.
"Ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support, but sadly it became apparent nothing could be done to save him, and he was confirmed dead at the scene."
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "We received a call around 12pm this afternoon (Friday 12 April) with the concern for a man near Batchley Road in Redditch.
"Officers arrived at the incident and sadly the man was found deceased.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and there is no third-party involvement."
