A Studley drama group are set to bring an "electrifying" production to the stage this week.
Audiences should get ready to laugh, scream and tap their toes as the Studley Operatic Society proudly presents Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein at the Palace Theatre.
From Tuesday, April 23 to Saturday, April 27, the show promises audiences a night of hilarity, innuendo and entertainment.
Based on the classic comedy film by Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder, Young Frankenstein tells the story of Dr Frederick Frankenstein, the grandson of the infamous Dr Victor Frankenstein.
Determined to distance himself from the family's legacy, Frederick is inadvertently drawn back to Transylvania when he inherits his grandfather's estate.
He soon discovers the secrets of reanimation by creating his own monster and setting off a chain of events that will leave you in stitches.
Lorraine Hill, Chairperson for Studley Operatic Society, said: "We can’t wait to bring Young Frankenstein to life on stage. This crazy comedy celebrates the absurd and provides a hilarious ‘what happened next’ to this time-old traditional gothic story.
"It’s fun, it’s sexy and there’s a tap-dancing monster. What else could you ask for in an evening’s entertainment? Get your tickets today."
From the company that brought audiences Kinky Boots, 42nd Street, Spamalot and more the show is a must-see for theatregoers and comedy lovers alike.
From an incredibly talented cast to stunning sets and unforgettable songs like 'Puttin' On the Ritz' and 'Transylvania Mania', Youth Frankenstein is being described as a "musical extravaganza" that will have people "dancing in their seats".
The show runs every evening from April 23 to April 27 with a matinee performance on Saturday.
The show is not recommended for anyone under 12.
Tickets cost £22 each plus the booking fee and can be purchased via the Palace Theatre at www.redditchpalacetheatre.co.uk/whats-on/all-shows/young-frankenstein or call the box office on 01527 65203.
