The owner of a dog-walking business in Redditch was left "amazed" after nearly 70 pooches turned up to mark its sixth birthday.
Jess Taylor-Jones, the owner of Redditch Dog Walking, put out a request on social media for clients and dog owners to join her at Bordesley Abbey Meadows last month.
The event was held to mark the company's sixth birthday whilst also helping to raise vital funds to cover vet bills for animals that have been rescued by Ms Taylor-Jones and her husband.
Despite being unsure of how many people would turn up, Ms Taylor-Jones was left shocked and amazed when almost 70 dogs and their owners came to show their support.
The 34-year-old from Astwood Bank said: "I was just so overwhelmed and surprised at how many people turned up but I was so happy with the turnout.
"We run an event every year for our birthday but there is always that worry that nobody will turn up or the weather will be really bad. At our first walk, there were about 30 dogs so to have almost 70 dogs this time around is just amazing.
"I was quite disappointed that I couldn't join in as I tore a ligament, but I'm so grateful to the community for all their support. I really couldn't do this without them. It's been a massive boost."
Ms Taylor-Jones decided to turn her lifelong passion for animals into a business after finishing her maternity leave a few years ago.
It has continued to go from strength to strength with there now being 24 walkers.
As well as offering dog walking services, the business also helps rescue animals with the money raised from the walk going towards vital vet bills.
The walk this year raised more than £300 and will help puppy Sirius.
He is missing half his paw and needs money towards a prosthetic as well as scans that can total thousands of pounds.
Ms Taylor-Jones said: "Every bit of money makes a huge difference to us and dogs like Sirius. The vet bills can really mount up so we are always incredibly grateful for any support.
"Anyone who knows me will know that I'm incredibly passionate about animals. Dogs really are my absolute life and I love what I do.
"I just want to say a huge thank you to all my incredible customers. Everyone is so supportive and I can't wait to hold more fundraising events soon."
The business holds fundraisers throughout the year, including breed specific events, with residents able to keep up to date by following Redditch Dog Walking on Facebook.
