Thousands of people flocked to Redditch town centre last weekend to witness a stunning array of vintage and classic cars.
The annual Redditch Classic Motor Show returned to the town on Saturday (May 18) and saw more than 120 "jaw-dropping" exhibits line the streets including vintage and classic cars, motorbikes, military vehicles and more.
Organised by Redditch BID in collaboration with Shakespeare Rally Promotions, the event also saw live entertainment by Helen Pearson and Baby Love, food stalls and vendor booths.
Attracting visitors from far and wide, the fine weather greeted car enthusiasts and transported them back in time with the oldest car on display being a 1933 MG J2.
Muj Rahman, the Redditch BID manager, said: "It was heartwarming to see so many car enthusiasts come together to celebrate the beauty and significance of classic automobiles.
"We thank all the participants, volunteers and attendees who made this event a tremendous success."
There was also something for all generations to enjoy as Lightning McQueen, KITT and Transformers appeared at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre where guests could take selfies throughout the day.
One of the highlights of the event was the prestigious Clayton and Shuttleworth Steam Engine built in 1911.
The judges were then faced with the challenging task of selecting the winners from the exceptional line-up of vehicles with the best in show awarded trophies for their dedication to preserving automotive history.
The general manager of Kingfisher Redditch, Adrian Field, said: "The footfall and atmosphere in and around the Centre was fabulous. The number of people in the Centre on the day was 41 per cent higher than the Saturday before which we are delighted with.
"This Redditch BID-led event has been a fantastic way of boosting trade, creating pride in the town and allowing people to enjoy a great day out."
Following the show, residents took to social media to praise the event and share their thoughts on the "beautiful" display of cars.
Resident Amanda Nikola said: "What a great turnout. Some beautiful cars too."
Resident John Somnrr said: "A great turnout this morning. A wonderful display of quality and interesting vehicles, a good atmosphere and good weather. I particularly liked the two Hot Rods. A big thanks to all involved."
Councillor Juliet Barker Smith added: "What a wonderful event in the town centre today. Church Green was full of amazing cars and in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, there were two transformers, Lightning McQueen and KITT from Knight Rider.
"Councillors and friends were out and about enjoying the event."
