A brand-new spring event is set to launch this weekend just in time for some half term fun.
Ahead of The Big Green Week in June, the Kingfisher Shopping Centre and Redditch BID will be hosting the 'Sustainable Spring' event featuring a special eco-friendly maze.
Between Saturday, May 25 and Friday, May 31, a 30 square metre maze made from Quick Blocks, a sustainable material made from recycled milk bottles, bottle lids and children's toys, will be located on Walford Walk.
Families will be able to explore the maze and uncover the answers to the Big Bee Quiz whilst stopping for various selfie opportunities throughout the day, including a giant pot of Kingfisher honey.
Adrian Field, general manager at Kingfisher Redditch, said: "The centre is committed to events and being green, so to combine the two is perfect as we know that our younger guests will love what is on offer as they did with our Easter and February half term events.
"We look forward to welcoming people to take part in the activities all at no cost to them."
As well as exploring the maze, visitors can also participate in the hands-on nature-themed workshops from 11am until 4pm between Monday, May 27 and Friday, May 31.
The workshops will be located at the same venue and are free for all ages.
It will offer a great opportunity for guests to connect with nature with children able to design their own birdhouses, decorate creepy crawlies and make seed bombs.
The workshops will feature a different craft each day for guests to enjoy so the centre is encouraging repeat visits across the week.
