A brand-new fish and chip shop opened its doors in Redditch earlier this month and has thanked customers for an "incredible" welcome.
George's Fish Bar, located on Evesham Road in Crabbs Cross, officially opened on Tuesday, May 7 and has already received huge support.
The business is being run by George Constantinou who relocated to Redditch from London in 2016 and proudly owns another fish and chip shop in the town.
Mr Constantinou ran a fish and chip shop in the capital for 18 years before opening Andy's Fish Bar in Lodge Park eight years ago.
The 49-year-old said: "The reaction to our new shop has been fantastic and even better than we thought. We have had such an incredible welcome from the community and people have praised our food.
"People in Crabbs Cross had been excited for the chippy to open so we couldn't wait to open the doors.
"I just want to say a huge thank you to the Crabbs Cross community for being so supportive of the chip shop and for helping us get off to a great start."
Mr Constantinou said he decided to open another fish and chip shop as he "just loves" his job and enjoys being part of the Redditch community.
A particular highlight is being able to meet new people and get to know those in the local area.
He said: "I just love what I do and have so much fun running the chippy. Since moving to Redditch, I have really enjoyed being part of the community and giving back to others.
"We run the shop to serve the community and we really couldn't do this without their support. We are nothing without them."
George's Fish Bar is open Monday to Thursday from 4.30pm to 9pm and Friday and Saturday from 12pm until 2pm and then again from 4.30pm to 9.30pm.
The business is also offering a click-and-collect service.
