Residents are being reminded that a number of roads are set to be closed this weekend as the Wythall and Hollywood Fun Run returns to the town.

The community event is returning for the first time since the pandemic and is being run in partnership between the Wythall Community Association and Olympic medallist Steve Cram’s Events of the North Team.

There will be road closures in place on Silver Street, Batemans Lane, Packhorse Lane, Middle Lane, Wythall Green Way and Wilmore Lane from 9am until 12pm on Sunday, June 23.

The event, which includes a 5k, 10k and Families on Track (5K) relay race, is also being supported by Worcestershire County Council’s Public Health team.

Primrose Hospice is the official charity partner for the race.

Worcestershire County Council said disruption will be kept to a minimum and a rolling road closure and reopening schedule will be in place on the day.
