POLICE have issued an update after three men were arrested when police officers stopped a car and found a firearm. 

Officers arrested two men, aged 19 and 23, on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs and possession of a firearm.

Another man, aged 39, was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst uninsured and disqualified and of being in possession of a firearm.

West Mercia Police have now confirmed that all three men have been bailed. 

There was an increased police presence in Redditch after the incident on Winslow Close yesterday (Thursday, June 20). 

West Mercia Police has said that officers stopped a car on the road and discovered a firearm inside.

Detective Chief Inspector Ben Arrowsmith said: “This is an isolated incident and we believe there is no wider risk to members of the public".
