A road in Wythall is closed today for emergency work to replace a "dangerous" manhole cover.
Worcestershire County Council said Alcester Road would be closed for Severn Trent to carry out the work to replace the manhole frame and cover.
According to the Worcestershire County Council website, the work started shortly before 7.30am today (Thursday, June 27) with the road expected to remain closed until 4pm.
A spokesperson for Worcestershire County Council said: "Alcester Rd, Wythall is closed for Severn Trent to replace a dangerous manhole frame and cover."
Motorists are being advised to plan ahead of journeys and seek an alternative route as delays are likely.
