Alcester Café recently received a cheque for £2,500 from the sellout A Right Royal Prom concert at the Greig Hall.
First-time collaborators, the Tarantara Choir and Alcester Victoria Silver Band produced an unforgettable night of entertainment in the concert held on June 15.
The concert celebrated the King's official birthday and Trooping the Colour, and it featured a mix of Edward Elgar's emotional tones to Queen's bold beats.
Visitors to Alcester Café, a bi-weekly establishment aimed at supporting individuals with dementia and their families, will reap the benefits of these funds.
The café, located at the Eric Payne Centre, offers a safe space to share emotions, combat isolation and encourage peer support.
Run entirely by volunteers, Alcester Café welcomes anyone interested in more information on their website.
Open every Tuesday and Friday, from 10.30am-12.30pm, the café provides information on dementia care, facilitates group activities, and even hosts presentations.
