A charity football match in Redditch has raised more than £5,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).
AFH Wealth Management held the match at Redditch United FC’s Valley Stadium.
An office-based team and a team of financial advisors competed, with the office team winning 11-5.
Every penny of the £5,458 raised will go to the MNDA, chosen by AFH after employee Millie Britton’s mum was diagnosed with the condition and supported by MNDA before her death earlier this year.
"It helped to fund therapy and provided equipment to make mum’s time with us more comfortable," Millie said.
She said the association provided grants to make her parents' home wheelchair-accessible and offered family counselling.
Office team manager, Matty Bird, said: "The advisers played very well but I’m proud of the lads for the way they handled the pressure."
AFH's employees have so far raised £10,085, nearing their annual goal of £12,000.
