A MAN has been charged with attempted murder after two boys were reportedly attacked with a bladed weapon.
Police were called to a serious assault on Rowland Avenue in Studley just before midnight on Friday (July 19).
The boys suffered "serious injuries" which required hospital treatment.
Dale Gardiner, aged 40, of Albert Close in Studley, was charged with Section 18 wounding with intent; attempted murder; and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
He appeared at Coventry Magistrates' Court today (July 22). He did not enter a plea and was remanded in custody to appear at crown court on August 19.
Following the incident, Warwickshire Police said in a statement: "Yesterday evening (19 July) at just before midnight, we were called to reports of a serious assault taking place on Rowland Avenue in Studley.
"Two boys were allegedly attacked with a bladed weapon, and reportedly had wounds which required hospital treatment.
"An alleged suspect was quickly identified and arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault causing grievous bodily harm – a 40-year-old man from Studley".

Investigating officer DI Carl Buckley said “First aid was reportedly provided to the boys who had received injuries by members of the public in advance of the ambulance’s arrival, for which we give our sincere thanks.”
