Three men have been charged with drug dealing offences following a series of warrants executed in Redditch yesterday. 

Tawqeer Mahmood, aged 21, of Other Road, Redditch, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs namely heroin and crack cocaine. 

Wajid Mahmood, aged 44, of Other Road, Redditch, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs namely heroin and crack cocaine. 

Aliyan Razzak, aged 20, of Mount Street, Redditch, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, namely heroin and crack cocaine, and possession of a section 5 firearm (taser). 

All three were remanded and are due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court today (Wednesday, July 24).

The charges come after police targeted addresses in Mount Street, Beoley Road East and Other Road yesterday (Tuesday, July 23) making three arrests and recovering evidence of Class A drugs, mobile phones, a machete, nunchucks and cash.

The warrants were executed as part of ongoing efforts to tackle the supply of illegal drugs in the town.

Following the warrants, Safer Neighbourhood Inspector for Redditch, Richard Field, said: "This morning we executed three warrants in Redditch suspected to be linked to county lines drug dealing in the town.

"Our actions were in response to residents’ concerns and police intelligence work. We will always act upon information given to us as we continue ongoing efforts to drive criminality away from the town."
